iPad - New Tablet Computer From Apple

A new tablet PC device from Apple, known as iPad, was presented in April 2010. And until summer Apple managed to sell not less than 2 million iPads. It uses the same technology as iPod Touch and iPhone a multitouch display that is sensitive not only to slylus but also to fingertips. iPad connects to Internet by Wi-Fi and 3G. So users can easily browse the Internet, download music, video, images, watch online video, install various software. iPad can be synchronized with iTunes on PC by by USB cable.



As for the specifications, iPad has 25 cm touchscreen with scratch and fingerprint resistance. iPad also has built-in digital compass. There are no USB ports or Ethernet networking but there is dock connector that is used for wired connectivity. Mono sound is provided via the dual speakers. iPad equipped with a built-in microphone. Also it has built-in rechargeable lithium-ion polymer battery that is charged with the help of USB 10W power adapter. It also can be recharged from PC. But it provides lower current and as a result iPad is recharged much more slowly. The full charged battery is claimed to provide up to one month on standby, 140 hours of audio or 10 hours of video payback.

As all Apple devices, iPad also can be jailbroken to allow the usage of different applications unauthorized by Apple. After jailbkeaking of iPad users will be able to install lots of apps that can’t be downloaded from the App Store.
