"Body Speaker" Translates The Sounds Of Human Body Into Music

The device "Body Speaker", developed by Karina van Heck, uses the sounds of various human organs such as heartbeat, blood movement through the vessels, respiration, and others for creation of surprisingly beautiful exoteric electronic music.

"Body Speaker" consists of several devices capturing sound that are worn on different parts of the human body and on a computer unit that performs the synthesis of music from the amplification sounds. Due to the fact that the bodies of different people "sound" on different frequencies, and the sound of the body depends on many factors, for example the physical and emotional state, the sound obtained with the help of "Body Speaker" is always unique.

It should be noted that the implementation of the device "Body Speaker" has its roots in research related with the development of alternative methods for diagnosis of the human body that are substituting traditional technologies, such as X-ray, an ultrasound and topography.

Of course, the usage of “Body Speaker” as a diagnostic medical tool is under big question, but the synthesized music is incredibly harmonious and beautiful. It is likely that some people, listening to this music, will be able to use "Body Speaker" for fine tuning "frequency" of their body using the techniques of meditation.
